Connections Early Years Family Centre

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Group is every Monday from 1PM-3PM. The first session begins on May 13, 2019. Sessions do not run on statutory holidays.  

​

Every group meeting is different because the needs of the families attending are different. The Groups follow a similar structure from week to week. This includes a breastfeeding check in, health checks, question and answer period, and discussion of the weekly topic. In some groups, a guest speaker will attend to share their specialized knowledge. 

​

There will be health checks for you and your baby. These include:

• Health assessments for mom and baby

• Newborn weight check

• Questions about recovery

• Questions about taking care of your newborn

• Breastfeeding support

• Ordering laboratory and diagnostic tests

• Prescribing some medications related to your care

 

Moms/Parents with one or more babies, living in Windsor-Essex county are invited to attend.

 

This group is for families with babies who are 1 day old to 10 weeks old. When your baby is 8 weeks old, it is important to see your family doctor to start vaccinations. You will be able to continue to come to the group until your baby is 10 weeks old. Once your baby is 10 weeks old, you will return to the care of your family doctor.
